Who We Are

More than a shelter — a second chance at life.

JFK Animal Rescue & Shelter is Pakistan’s first organisation dedicated to the complete rehabilitation of abused, neglected, and stray animals. We go beyond food and safety — our animals receive physical treatment, emotional healing, and behavioural training from foreign-qualified trainers and animal whisperers, preparing them for loving forever homes.

Founded on the belief that together we can make a difference, JFK follows the Trap, Neuter & Vaccinate (TNV) model and actively spreads awareness in schools and rural communities across Pakistan. With over 155 animals rehomed this year alone, we remain committed to standing up for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Why choose us

We don't just rescue — we a truly rehabilitate.

Most shelters provide food and a roof. JFK goes further — restoring animals physically, emotionally, and behaviourally before placing them in forever homes.

Pakistan's first full rehabilitation centre

We are the first shelter in Pakistan focused on complete physical and emotional recovery — not just temporary housing for stray and abused animals.

Expert trainers and animal whisperers

Our animals are trained by foreign-qualified professionals who help them overcome trauma, socialise with humans, and build the confidence for a new home.

Legally registered non-profit

JFK is a tax-exempt, SECP-registered organisation (CUIN 0176822). Every donation goes directly toward rescuing and rehabilitating animals in need.

Trap, Neuter & Vaccinate (TNV) model

We follow a humane, science-backed approach to managing Pakistan's stray population — trapping, neutering, vaccinating, and returning animals safely.

Shelter over streets — always

Unlike other organisations, we prioritise keeping rescued animals in the shelter rather than releasing them back to the streets while finding them the right home.

Community awareness & education

We visit schools and rural communities to teach children and families how to respect, protect, and care for the animals around them — shaping a kinder Pakistan.

Our current projects

On the ground, every single day.

From emergency rescues to long-term rehabilitation — here is what Team JFK is actively working on right now.

Animal Rescue Missions

We are working day and night to provide rescue services to every injured, abused and sick street animal which is reported to us by the public. On a monthly basis, we rescue more than 100 new animals. Most them are in a very critical state due to trauma, torture or disease. We try our best to save every life that comes to our shelter and affiliated clinics in Lahore.

Shelter for Paralyzed and Debilitated Animals:

Along with providing medical care to the street animals, we are also providing them a warm and comfortable place to live, where they feel safe and are well fed. We are providing a new home to the street animals and keeping them in groups so that they don't feel alone or stressed. Animals are kept together based on their species, for example, all healthy adult cats are housed together in a cattery.

Adoption and Rehoming Project:

In addition to providing a shelter home for the street animals, we are also promoting animal adoption by engaging the public in the noble deeds of animal care and welfare. We utilize our social media platforms and onsite public events at different places in Lahore to help animals find their new homes. We understand that it is very difficult for a home raised animal to survive in the shelter, so we are working to re-home them so that they feel less anxious and live a comfortable life.
